Pineapple Sauce

Ingredients

1 1/2 cup water
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 white sugar
2 TBSP cornstarch - rounded
1/2 tsp salt
2/3 cup pineapple tidbits with juice
1 TBSP vinegar



Directions


  1. Combine both sugars, salt and pineapple juice in a saucepan over med heat
  2. Mix water and cornstarch together in a separate bowl until milky then add to saucepan
  3. Cook over med heat, stirring constantly until sauce starts to clear and thicken
  4. Add vinegar to saucepan once sauce is thickened, cook for one minute then remove from heat
This is a wonderful sweet sauce to top fried rice or chicken balls
