Pretzels

Ingredients

1 package dry yeast
1 1/2 cup warm water
1 tsp salt
1 TBSP sugar
4 cups flour
1 egg - beaten
coarse sale

Directions

1.Dissolve yeast in water in large bowl
2. Add sugar, salt and flour to water
3. Knead dough on floured board until smooth
4. Cut dough into smaller pieces and roll into 4 inch logs
5. Twist dough logs into pretzel shapes
6. Arrange pretzels on greased baking sheet, brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt
7. Bake at 425F for 12 - 15 minutes

Notes

Brush with pizza sauce after baking and sprinkle with shredded cheese then broil for one minute to make pizza pretzels
